Description:

Job Summary:

The ERP/MRP Architect – Temporary is responsible for supporting the functional and technical areas of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems that pertain to the development, test, and production environments. This role is responsible for the implementation of the system, conducting needs assessments, and developing functional specifications to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs applicable ERP/MRP process flows to match business operations.
  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis and testing.
  • Interfaces with Business Stakeholders and infrastructure teams to define, gather, and document business processes and needs, and translate into detailed functional specifications for development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business processes, software functionality, testing, implementation, documentation, and training.
  • Support implementation of workflow processes and administration on organizational projects that include PLM, QMS & Finance tools, and other workflow processes supporting Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, and Sales teams.
  • Design, document, test, and leverage solutions.
  • Performs business systems and process analysis of existing systems/processes.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Provides escalated support to business process issues not resolved through normal business and IT support structures.
  • Maintain high quality project and software design documentation and analysis.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, knowledge, and prior relevant experience.
  • Masters’ degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an ERP/MRP Architect role or similar, with implementation experience.
  • Functional and configuration experience with at least one ERP/MRP application.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and project management principals.
  • Must possess the ability to work with little or no supervision, manage multiple projects, determine own tasks and priorities to meet project deliverables.
  • Previous experience developing systemwide processes.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours to accommodate lab testing requirements; including work outside of core work hours and some weekends if needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (grammar, spelling, language usage, etc.)
  • Experience with PLEX highly desired.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasionally move about in industrial environments and on uneven terrain.
  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, and in industrial environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
  • May be required to travel to and navigate a variety of sites to fully understand material needs.
