ERT Training Coordinator/Manager

GovFirst is seeking to hire an ERT Training Coordinator/Manager to support the training and readiness of Emergency Response Team (ERT) personnel across Virginia which includes Bristol, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Newport News, Suffolk, Surry, Salem, Lynchburg, Staunton, Culpeper & Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ERT training activities and ensure personnel are fully qualified and ready to respond to roadway incidents.
  

• Manage and maintain ERT equipment necessary for safe and effective operations.
  

• Work closely with the Training Manager and Operations Superintendent to align training programs with operational needs.
  

• Track and document training completion, certifications, and readiness of ERT personnel.
  

• Ensure all ERT members are prepared for various roadway incidents, including disabled vehicles, debris, accidents, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency response training or management.
  

• Knowledge of traffic operations and incident response protocols.
  

• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  

• Ability to develop, coordinate, and track training programs effectively.
  

• Familiarity with safety standards, emergency response equipment, and operational procedures.
