Summary: The responsibilities of the New Development Escrow Associate are to assist the Accounting division and Forward Planning teams by handling activities related to setting up accounts, providing documents, and providing information for resale properties within new development properties.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Meeting daily deadlines for completion of HOA Certifications for lenders and escrow company.
  • New owner set up & verification.
  • Address inquiries from homeowners, lenders, escrow company and appraisers.
  • Assist in new phase annexation by reviewing required documents, importing new address to data software, and implementing the new phase budget.
  • Assist with lender HOA certification requests for developing projects.
  • Address information inquires from homeowners, developers, lenders, and appraisers.
  • Process builder and developer billing in new development accounts. 
  • Maintain and monitor bond tracking and releases for new development accounts. 
  • Participate in file maintenance.
  • Set up and verify new homeowners.
  • Process refunds to developers and owners for overpayment of assessments and/or fees.
  • HOA Document maintenance and uploads for 3rd party partners.
  • Disclosure of any pending Litigation matters for HOA.
  • Process refunds for overpayment of assessments & fees.
  • Perform common area takeoffs on consulting projects
  • Assist supervisor as necessary.
  • Special Projects as Assigned.

Qualification Requirements:  

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit professionalism, professional attire, and demeanor always.
  • Demonstrate effective strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities.
  • Must be proficient with computer programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize daily workload.
  • Must work effectively with co-workers and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Normally requires one-two years of experience in an accounting related position
