Job Description - Escrow Officer

Description

Position Summary

 

Centurion Land Title is looking for a skilled Escrow Officer to lead the closing process from start to finish from managing in-person closings, preparing documents, coordinating with clients and team members, and ensuring each transaction is accurate and compliant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service in every interaction. You’ll be a key player in helping buyers, sellers, and agents complete successful real estate transactions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive and professional support to clients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Conduct in-person real estate closings ("table closings") with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Process, package, and ship completed closing files according to company procedures and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, and Escrow teams to ensure smooth and timely transaction flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment to support daily operations.
  • Monitor and manage workload proactively, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency to meet daily deadlines and client needs.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior experience in escrow closing and processing.
  • Strong working knowledge of the real estate industry and closing procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and interact with clients professionally and confidently.

Experience and Training 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with title production systems.
  • High school diploma required; some college or relevant certifications preferred.

   

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift office supplies, files, or small packages (up to 20 lbs).
  • Regular use of hands and fingers for typing, handling paperwork, and using office equipment.
  • May involve walking or standing during file retrieval, client meetings, or office support tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Standard professional office environment with consistent in-person attendance required.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere with frequent interactions with clients, agents, and internal staff.
  • Collaborative setting across multiple departments and locations.
  • Noise levels are typically low to moderate.
  • Office locations are climate-controlled and equipped with standard office furniture and technology.

Job Dimensions 

  • Acts as a primary point of contact for clients, agents, lenders, and attorneys throughout the closing process. Maintains a professional demeanor and delivers a high standard of customer service.
  • Works closely with title production, escrow processors, and administrative support teams across multiple office locations to facilitate smooth closings.
