Ese Coordinator

Position Summary:

The ESE Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and supporting the implementation of special education services and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. This role works closely with school administrators, general and special education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure all students with disabilities receive appropriate and effective educational programs in the least restrictive environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate,  manage, and implement all aspects of ESE programming on campus addressing needs of students with disabilities.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and other applicable federal and state laws related to special education.
• Facilitate and participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, re-evaluations, and manifestation determinations.
  Review and monitor IEPs to ensure accuracy, legal compliance, and appropriate service delivery.
• Maintain student database systems, records management, and completion of State and Federal reports for the district, schools, and teachers. 
• Provide support and guidance to ESE teachers and service providers regarding instructional practices, accommodations, and behavior interventions.
• Remain current on knowledge of and accurate application of state and federal regulations, legislation and litigation pertaining to students with disabilities. 
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to support student needs.
• Provide professional development and training for school staff on ESE-related topics.
• Stay abreast of current knowledge of and accurate application of state and federal regulations, legislation and litigation pertaining to students with disabilities.
• Analyze data to monitor student progress and program effectiveness.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, district ESE department, and community resources.
• Perform other tasks as required and/or assigned by supervisor(s).

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of teaching experience in special education; leadership or coordination experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate with ESE endorsement or certification required.
