We are experiencing significant growth and require the assistance of an Estate Litigation Partner to join our Estate Litigation Department in our New York, NY office.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage caseload of complex and high-net-worth trust and estate litigation matters, including court appearances, motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations/mediations, and other estate litigation activities
Supervise and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level team members
Actively contribute to business development, networking, and the firm’s growth strategy
Maintain excellent client relationships and uphold the firm’s high standards or service and professionalism
Required:
7+ years of experience in trust and estate litigation, administration, probate, and related private client work, ideally performed within a law firm
Strong working knowledge of the SCPA, EPTL, and other relevant tax, trusts, and estates legislation
Prior experience in supervising or managing junior team members, with a demonstrable ability to lead and inspire a plus
Strong writing skills and experience with motion practice (written and oral argument)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client service and relationship building
