Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year

Location:

Charlotte, NC. This opportunity is connected to our growing Charlotte-area practice. The exact on-site or hybrid schedule will be confirmed during the interview process.

Note:

Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have 1+ year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate administration, probate, or elder law. South Carolina bar admission is highly preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies tailored to their personal, financial, and family goals.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents.
  • Guide clients through estate administration, probate, and trust administration matters.
  • Counsel clients on elder law, asset protection, and special needs planning matters.
  • Manage client matters from initial consultation through completion with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Build trusted client relationships through clear, responsive, and compassionate communication.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Stay current on North Carolina estate planning, probate, trust, and elder law developments.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of an expanding trusts and estates practice.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina bar license in good standing.
  • 1+ year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate administration, probate, or elder law.
  • Strong drafting, legal research, organizational, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple client matters and deadlines.
  • South Carolina bar admission is preferred.
  • Special needs planning, elder law, trust administration, or probate experience is a plus.
