KO Business Solutions is a family-owned consulting firm proud to work with an esteemed full-service, general practice law firm looking to add an Estate Planning Attorney to their Chicago team. The Estate Planning Attorney will play a crucial role in helping clients secure their legacies and ensure their wishes are honored.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am-5 pm (with flexibility for longer hours)

Location: Chicago, IL 

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience, starting at $135,000 + Bonus

Description

The Estate Planning Attorney directly collaborates with peer attorneys and clients to develop comprehensive, personalized estate plans. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, communicative, and detailed in their work. Some of their key responsibilities will be:

• Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  


• Advise clients on tax implications, asset protection strategies, and other legal considerations related to estate planning.
  


• Assist clients with probate and trust administration processes.
  


• Handle a diverse caseload and be available for any client needs.
  


• Stay informed on changes in federal and state estate planning laws and regulations to provide timely and effective counsel.
  

 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Exceptional communication skills
  


• Strong research skills and proactive nature
  


• Demonstrated ability to anticipate the needs of clients and the firm; preparedness
  


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-pace setting.
  

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in estate planning and probate law
  


• A portable book of business or trusted client base is strongly preferred, as our client is looking to expand their growing estate plan and transactional practice.
  


• Bar admitted and able to practice law in the State of Illinois
