Pay: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year

Location: Fresno, CA. This position is based in our Fresno office and is on-site initially, with potential flexibility after you have demonstrated your ability to manage matters independently and consistently perform at a high level.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed with the California Bar and have 8+ years of directly relevant estate planning experience, including substantial experience with trusts, wills, estates, and related matters.

Job Description

  • Counsel individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning strategies.
  • Draft and review trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and related planning documents.
  • Manage estate planning matters from initial consultation through completion with minimal oversight.
  • Handle or assist with probate and trust administration matters based on experience.
  • Advise clients regarding wealth transfer, succession planning, fiduciary issues, and estate administration.
  • Develop trusted, long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to expand those relationships.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys while maintaining significant responsibility for your own matters.
  • Attend hearings and travel when needed to effectively represent clients.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 8+ years of estate planning experience.
  • Strong experience with trusts, wills, estates, and related planning matters.
  • Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships with minimal supervision.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and client counseling skills.
  • Probate and trust administration experience strongly preferred.
  • Fresno or Central Valley ties preferred.
  • Existing client relationships or approximately $250K to $300K in annual origination is a plus, not required.

  • Required Years as Associate: 8+

  • Salary bands (ONLY IF ATTORNEY ROLE):

  • 8 to 9 years relevant experience: $250K to $260K

  • 10 to 12 years relevant experience: $260K to $280K

  • 13+ years, advanced probate/trust experience and/or strong origination: $280K to $300K
