Job Description - Estate Planning Paralegal




Boutique San Francisco trust and estate planning/administration law practice located west of Twin Peaks is looking for a reliable, intelligent, Trust Administration and Estate Planning Paralegal for 2 – 5 days per week, schedule to be determined; We offer paid time off, optional participation in 401k and Healthcare stipend.






Applicant must have:




• Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and typing skills




• Be patient, flexible, organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and customer-service oriented




• Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and teamwork skills




• Ability to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision




• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook




• Ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadline demands




• Highest level of discretion, sensitivity, and integrity in handling confidential information




• Minimum 2 years paralegal experience – prior experience in trust administration and estate planning preferred






Duties including, but not limited to:




• Taking direction from attorneys and working independently in drafting trust administration and estate planning documents, finalizing documents for signing, preparing and processing deeds/affidavits, prepare Probate Code compliant trust accountings


• Managing trust administrations, calendaring, preparing legal documents for filing at court, and correspondence


• Answering phones and communicating directly with clients, courts, attorneys, and county agencies


• Clerical duties, including copying, scanning, creating/updating client contact information, retiring files, file maintenance


• Entering time spent on client matters, opening new clients, and closing clients in billing software
