Estates Supervisor

I.  JOB SUMMARY for Estate Mow Supervisor:

This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of Engledow Estates clients' properties. This includes working with and leading a team to complete the necessary tasks. Care and maintenance includes but is not limited to: mowing, watering, weeding, edging, trimming, mulching, pruning, snow removal, planting various plant material, application of chemicals and trash removal. 

Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety standards are to be met at each client location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Mow and maintain properties at Engledow Estates level of quality.

· Understand and execute the needs of each respective client.

· Train crewmembers and consistently lead by example.

· Oversee equipment use so as to maximize life and minimize repairs.

· Enter hours/time accurately into Boss and assist crew with their time sheets.

· Communicate equipment needs and problems to Shop using appropriate paperwork.

· Attend production and crew meetings.

· Solve field problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.

· Lead safety sessions and enforce safety procedures.

· Assist in snow removal during the winter.

 EVALUATION FACTORS:

-Must have a strong interest and desire to work with plants and landscapes.

-Requires the ability to communicate well in both written and verbal formats with individuals in various management levels and of diverse backgrounds.

-Must be service oriented to meet/exceed customers’ needs.

-Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently.

-Must be able to work in a group in an efficient and organized manner.

-Must be able to lead, guide and train other team members.

-Must have strong physical endurance as the position is very labor intensive.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. 
• Associate’s or BS degree in horticulture or a related field is desired.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work flexible hours usually between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• Minimum of 2 years of landscape service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Experience supervising or leading others is required.
• Commercial mowing experience is necessary.
• Extensive knowledge of landscaping procedures, equipment and plant material is essential.
• Bilingual is a plus.
