We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimating and Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting all U.S. Franchisees by providing comprehensive estimating support, managing vendor and supplier relations, and ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and resources for custom home building projects. This role is to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization within the franchise network. Responsibilities -Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment needs Deliver comprehensive onboarding training to franchisees, covering the G.J. Way and proprietary software implementation. Responsible for Core Training on G.J. Software, focusing on estimating and scheduling. Review and refine regional estimating templates to meet specific requirements. Set pricing structures, margins, and price books for each franchise office. Coordinate with franchise design centers to ensure availability of appropriate vendor and supplier displays. Resolve errors and provide ongoing support to franchisees in understanding and applying the project engineering process. - Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials Vendor/Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers aligned with quality standards and pricing requirements. Establish and maintain positive working relationships through regular communication and performance evaluations. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions in vendor and supplier agreements. Monitor performance and address issues promptly. Develop and manage vendor and supplier agreements, including terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Administer rebate programs, reconcile data, and analyze performance for optimization. Coordinate with franchise design centers to ensure availability of vendor and supplier displays and marketing materials. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 2-3 years of relevant experience in estimating or residential construction. Proven experience in vendor management, supplier relationship management, or procurement roles. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of scheduling, estimating, and supply chain management principles. Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of supply chain management principles Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively balance the responsibilities of project engineering and vendor/supplier management to support the success of the franchise network in the competitive custom home building industry.
