Estimating Coordinator

Surface Preparation Technologies LLC is a leader in highway safety with offices in PA and TX. SPT is the nation's largest rumble strip contractor, combating drift-off and head-on highway crashes. Its sister companies provide other highway safety services including line striping, traffic control, and permanent signage.

Surface Preparation Technologies (SPT), LLC is seeking a full-time Estimating Coordinator located in New Kingstown, PA. The Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Estimating Department by assisting with bid preparation, proposal development, bid tracking, and project documentation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely submission of bids while maintaining organized records and supporting communication between customers, estimating staff, and internal departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with the preparation and submission of bid packages and proposals by:

o Navigating Department of Transportation (DOT) and other authority websites to identify project information.

o Reviewing project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to support the estimating process.

o Coordinating the collection and organization of bid-related documents and supporting information.

o Preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.

o Assisting estimators with project research and information gathering.

· Submit proposals, to customers, being mindful of critical deadlines

· Maintain accurate records of bids, proposals and related documentation.

· Maintain estimating databases and other data tracking tools.

· Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.

· Support continuous improvement efforts within the estimating department.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.

· Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in highway construction, estimating support, construction administration, or a related field preferred.

· Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and bid documents preferred.

· Strong computer skills and ability to learn company software systems.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
