This is a Full-Time position for an Estimator at our facility in Clayton, NC

What You’ll Do

1. Prepare cost estimates for all orders (Literature and labels) including new quotes, projects, and bids.
2. Prepare cost estimates with current costing parameters (Raw Materials and Production performance).
3. Generate and analyze pricing from cost estimates.
4. Develop and maintain customer pricing matrix as needed.
5. Interact with the customer service and sales departments and internal and external customers.
6. Assist in sales presentations as needed.
7. Review any pricing issues/discrepancies.
8. Work with production in understanding cost issues.
9. Help in preparing job-costing analysis for monthly financial reviews.
10. Maintain metrics on department service levels and throughput.

What You’ll Bring

1. High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
3. Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
4. Pharmaceutical printing/folding industry experience preferred.

1. Ability to think and act independently.
2. Must be able to evaluate structural drawings.
3. Ability to read and understand customer specifications.
4. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Must be aware of and responsive to time constraints.
6. Should possess a broad understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices as they relate to pharmaceutical printed components.
7. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
8. Work effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Good computer skills, knowledge of MS office

Level of Responsibility

This position is responsible for analyzing specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services in support of the Literature and Label departments.  Regular duties may include computation of cost/pricing factors and preparation of estimates including bid preparation, selecting of vendors or subcontractors, and determining various methodologies for cost effectiveness in collaboration with operations.
