Estimator

Description

As an Estimator for CM&B, you will get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, creating detailed negotiated proposals and accurate competitive bid packages. You will work collaboratively on project strategy, budgets, pre-construction, and value engineering. Creating strong relationships with the CM&B team, as well as subcontractors and vendors, will be essential to your success in this role. The Senior Vice President/Estimating & Pre-Construction, James Thomson, leads the estimating team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration with the project team in the setup of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and the best subcontractors for the project
• Participation in the project development & execution of the project strategy
• Drawing and document review, including identifying critical details that may impact the project; reconciling drawing revisions; identifying a complete list of trades required to execute the project
• Project preparation, including project strategy meetings, site investigation visits, creating invitations to bid, and ensuring appropriate subcontractor coverage
• Participation in the subcontractor award process to assure profitability and execution of the project financial strategy
• Ability to create conceptual/ schematic design/ design development estimates
• Prepare final pricing and construction document estimates

Requirements

 Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years of estimating experience in the general construction industry
• Organized and goal-oriented
• Confident, articulate,      and professional with a thoughtful approach to communication
• Precise, analytical, and a driven self-starter.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Onscreen with preferred experience in 10K Ft & Building Connected
