Job Description

Sytech is a Precision Metal Fabrication company, the Estimator position is responsible for preparing cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements that are vital to our production of our products for our customers. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who is willing to be a value-added member of our team. This is a unique position, and we require this individual to be flexible and willing to always keep the external customers in mind; while maintaining Quality of Workmanship, Safety, Accountability, and Teamwork, which is vital to our mission.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Response quickly to customer’s request.
• Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• 5 plus years of Experience in estimating and planning preferred.
• Five to Seven years Analyzing Information and requirement analysis.
• Ability to read blueprints and specs.
• Ability to write and report on research results. 
• Data Center Experience needed.
• Strategic planning and attention to detail,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advance computer skills required. 
• Advance Skills in Math and ability to read and write English.

Physical Demands

• Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required.
• Must be able to maintain a quick and steady pace working efficiently. 
• Rotation of head/neck, bending and twisting at the waist, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, requires repetitive motion.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Adaptable to a changing work environment.

Environmental Exposure

• Manufacturing metal fabrication environment.
• Office area, exposure to hot or cold temperature when working in areas of the building that cannot be temperature controlled (especially during summer months).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35 - $42 per hour (non-exempt)
