Estimator

TGR is a miscellaneous and structural steel erection company. We currently are able to deliver a variety of projects that encompass schools, health centers, office buildings, tilt-wall projects, multi-level steel structures, complex renovations, warehouse mezzanines, large-scale miscellaneous packages for concrete structures, and more. Operating with an average of 90 skilled ironworkers, we can complete any size project based on our customers’ needs.

We are currently seeking an Estimator. 

Qualifications

Experience:

• 
  Steel Erection Estimating

• 
  High School Diploma or GED


• 
  Ability to Read and Interpret Construction Documents and Plans.


• 
  1+ years of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel experience


• 
  Familiarity with Steel Construction


• Bluebeam, 1 year (Preferred)

Overview of Job Duties:

• 
  Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, schedules, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects. Provide alternate and breakdown pricing when requested.


• 
  Download Plans, Addenda, Changes, ASI, RFI Etc. Into organized shared files


• 
  Prepare detail-oriented and accurate estimates meeting assigned deadlines. Coordinate with Fabricators as required to changes in scope & quantities.


• 
  Evaluate addenda, RFIs, ASIs, bulletins, clarifications, and other changes prior to awarding bids


• 
  Travel to and attend pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs & pre-award meetings.


• 
  Collaborate with others on how to build the project. Develop a logistics plan of how the project is going to flow and be erected, help coordinate crane placement and other site logistics.


• 
  Work directly with Pre-construction & Project Management Teams to understand the size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines.


• 
  Write steel erection bid proposals using Microsoft programs Excel, Word, MS Project, Bluebeam, and other Estimating programs.


• 
  Develop strong communication skills


• 
  Participate in project planning and represent the company in meetings with clients and internal key players.


• 
  Maintain contact with clients & track potential project leads for future work.


• 
  Develop problem-solving skills.


• 
  Develop analytical skills.
