M. Jay Builders is a Gap, PA-based construction company serving homeowners and home builders throughout Lancaster and Chester Counties, with expertise in siding, roofing, stucco remediation, outdoor living, and other construction services. What You'll Do as an Estimator

• Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Manage project job costs and monitor margins to help keep projects financially on track.
• Coordinate pricing with established vendors and expand resources as needed to build complete, competitive estimates.
• Handle light invoicing and accounts receivable responsibilities as part of day-to-day office operations.
• Communicate clear job details, costs, and project information to employees, customers, and the owner.
• Provide field support for construction projects in progress, including occasional visits to local job sites.
• Report monthly job status and project information to the owner, escalating urgent issues when needed.

Our Ideal Estimator

• Experienced: At least 2 years of construction estimating experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Analytical: Evaluate project details, costs, and margins accurately to develop reliable estimates.
• Construction-Savvy: Understand the day-to-day essentials of the construction industry and be comfortable visiting and walking active job sites.
• Technically Capable: Work confidently in Microsoft Excel and Word; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
• Proactive: Respond promptly to employee and customer needs while keeping project information organized and moving forward.
• Team-Oriented: Collaborate with a close-knit, faith-based team while reflecting M. Jay Builders' commitment to quality, integrity, and creativity.
