About the Role
NGi is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator – ACT (Acoustical Ceiling Tile) to join our Ceiling Division in Concord, CA.
This full-time position plays a critical role throughout the entire construction life cycle from project conception and estimating through completion and closeout. The Estimator will develop precise bids, oversee cost tracking, and ensure that projects are executed efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full project life cycle for ceiling division projects—from bidding through closeout
Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate, competitive estimates
Review contracts for compliance and risk management
Track labor, material, and subcontractor costs throughout project execution
Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and procurement with internal and external partners
Lead project meetings with clients, architects, and subcontractors
Build and maintain long-term client and vendor relationships
Monitor schedules and manpower to ensure timely delivery
Identify and mitigate project risks
Mentor junior estimators and support staff
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in construction estimating
Experience with acoustical ceilings or specialty wall/ceiling systems highly preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency in OST, QuickBid, BlueBeam, and accounting software
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience with scheduling software a plus
Qualifications & Attributes
In-depth knowledge of bid processes and construction workflows
Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
Ability to work onsite and adapt to dynamic construction settings
