Job Description - Estimator Assistant

Essential Functions:



  • Manage Salesforce data.

  • Maintain, create, and run multiple reports (Weekly, quarterly, yearly as well as other requested reports) as required by sales/estimating.

  • Receive and enter all bidding correspondence from sales email/fax/Molin info email in a timely manner

  • Responsible for submitting all bids to customers.

  • Set up commercial and residential jobs.

  • Update internal/external contacts.

  • Process all change orders through salesforce.

  • Process all job cancellations as needed.

  • Close out projects such as lost bids, expired bids, jobs, etc.

  • Coordinate communication and information between Sales, Estimating, and other departments to ensure necessary information is received and communicated.

  • Follow up with appropriate personnel regarding outstanding information, documentation, or tasks needed to keep bids and projects moving forward.

  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, or aptitude to learn

  • Coordination and preparation of essential bid documents.

  • Training in admin staff on Estimating/Sales duties as needed.

  • Backup to Receptionist includes answering phones, greeting customers, daily tasks.

  • Additional duties as assigned by Estimating Manager.


Education and Experience:




    • High school degree with at least 2-3 years’ experience in administration role; or 2-year business degree.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



    • Self-starter

    • Technological aptitude

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)

    • Experience in Salesforce and/or Adobe desired but not required.

    • Ability to comprehend contracts.

    • Outstanding customer service skills

    • Team player, Dependable

    • Strong organizational skills

    • Time management

    • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    • Initiative and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple departments and personnel.

    • Strong follow-through and attention to detail.

    • Ability to remain flexible in a changing environment.

    • Construction background desired, but not required.


    Pay & Benefits: 



    • Pay for this position is estimated to start at $22-26/hr based on the experience, certifications, and qualifications of the applicant.*
