Estimator - Concrete

Estimator Position Overview:

The Estimator will work closely with the Project Management team to review, analyze, and prepare cost estimates for assigned projects. This position requires technical skills and experience in the construction and estimator field. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a variety of project types, have strong problem-solving abilities, and be capable of managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare preliminary estimates for assigned projects
Examine plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
Gather and analyze historical and current data to develop cost estimates
Research materials and labor costs and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Manage multiple projects and prioritize work as needed
Provide regular progress updates on assigned projects
Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed to ensure successful project completion
Keep up-to-date with construction methods and advances in estimating technology
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in construction and estimator roles
Knowledge of construction methods, cost estimates, and general building codes
Experience with commercial, high-rise, hospitality, medical, office, parking, retail, and public works projects
Proficiency in Excel, WinEst, Timberline Precision Estimating, PlanSwift, On Screen Takeoff, Cost-OS, and other estimating programs
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
