Ethernet/IP Technician

DCN is looking for an Ethernet/IP Technician to monitor networks, complete basic network provisioning and trouble analysis, receive and resolve trouble reports, and administer equipment. This position may be based out of our Bismarck or Fargo office location.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Provisions and troubleshoots Carrier Ethernet and IP services and equipment at a base level.


• Provisions and troubleshoots DNS services and equipment at a base level.


• Assists customers with initial service activation.


• Interfaces with local and national telecommunications providers for the operation, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of multiple types of services.


• Ensures the highest quality network service is provided to the customer.


• Completes on-call assignment on a rotating basis with other NOC technicians.

Successful candidates will be skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving as well as in reading and interpreting technical documents and information. Strong internal and external communication is essential along with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. 

An associate's degree in a related field or experience in a similar role or work environment is desired.  All offers of employment are contingent on a successful criminal background check.
