Job Description - Ethics Manager


The Behavior Analyst Certification Board®, Inc. (BACB®) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1998 to provide professional credentialing services for practitioners of behavior analysis services. Compensation: The BACB uses compensation data for the metro Denver labor market to ensure our positions provide a competitive wage. The salary for this position may vary and may be above or below the posted salary based on an individuals experience and/or education. The salary listed is just one component of the BACB's total compensation package for employees which includes a generous benefits package.

The annual salary for this position is: $80,000

Position Summary:  This position manages two Ethics Supervisors who manage teams of four Ethics Case Coordinators and has oversight of the activities associated with the team. They are responsible for identifying needs of the staff, ensuring the supervisors are supporting the team, and ensuring the team meets performance expectations. This position also involves collaborating with other leaders in the department to enhance systems and procedures and promote a positive team culture.  

This position will remain open until filled.


Requirements

  

  • Responsible for all aspects of Ethics Supervisors’ performance.
  • Works with supervisors to oversee the daily workload, identify opportunities for process simplification, and improvement. 
  • Analyze performance data to develop team goals, action plans, and provide performance feedback to ensure performance expectations are met and improvements are made.  
  • Identifying, oversee, and providing ongoing training and professional development for staff.
  • Develop and maintain work resources, and accurately document and review procedures. 
  • Delegates and/or completes other daily work assignments based on business needs.
  • Reviews and responds to escalated or unusual inquiries.
  • Supports the department leadership with high-priority tasks and projects.
  • Prepare and review applicable reports.
  • Assists with completing case-related tasks based on staffing and during times of high volume.
  • Ensures team compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of full-time direct staff management. Ability to perform simple to complex mathematics using fractions, ratios, and percentages. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Adobe software. Experience identifying and addressing employee performance.  

Preferred Experience and Education: Master's degree in a related field. Knowledge of BACB ethics requirements. 

Employment Authorization: Candidates must have the ability to work unrestricted in the U.S. The BACB does not offer visa sponsorship of any kind. Successful completion of a background check is required after the offer of employment. The BACB uses the E-Verify system during the hiring process to confirm employment eligibility to work in the United States.

Supervisor Role: No

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to listen and speak. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular full-time IN OFFICE position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required based on operations.

Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco and vape free campus. Consumption of tobacco products or vaping of any kind is prohibited.

Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
