Benzinger’s Clothing Care is looking for a dependable Evening Sorter to join our dry cleaning production team. If you enjoy staying busy, working independently, and paying attention to detail — this could be a great fit.

Schedule: ~25 to 35 hours per week

• Monday through Thursday – start between 3 to 4 pm; shifts will range from 5 to 7 hours based on workload.


• Saturday – start anytime from noon on; shift can range from 6 to 10 hours (for both Friday and Saturday sorting).

Pay Range:
$18 - $19/hour

What You’ll Do

• Examine and sort garments by due date, color, fabric, stain type, and care label


• Separate items into shirt, dry cleaning, and wet cleaning loads


• Inspect garments for stains, imperfections, or special treatment needs


• Pretreat stains and scrub collars as needed


• Start and monitor wet cleaning machines (ensuring correct settings and detergent/starch levels)


• Unload, sort, and process wash-and-fold orders


• Maintain productivity while meeting daily deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to read and interpret garment care labels


• Organized and able to prioritize work to meet due dates


• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision


• Reliable and punctual


• Able to maintain steady productivity throughout the shift


• Previous production, laundry, or dry-cleaning experience is helpful but not required

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing for extended periods, walking between work areas, frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20–25 lbs., visual inspection of garments and machine settings, working in a production environment with moderate noise, heat, and temperature changes.
