Evening Field Supervisor

Location: Philadelphia Department: Field Operations Reports To: General Manager Schedule: Evening Shift (1600–2300) — Flexible hours required, including weekends and holidays

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Supervisor to lead and support EMS crews during evening operations. This hands-on leadership role is essential to ensuring the safety, readiness, and professionalism of our teams in the field. The supervisor will serve as the primary contact for operational oversight, crew performance, and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring strong clinical knowledge, sound decision-making in dynamic situations, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to emergency medical service excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (DL) with clean driving record
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in good standing
• Current  EMSVO (Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator) certification
• Valid CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of EMS field experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Core Responsibilities

Vehicle & Equipment Readiness

• Conduct inspections of ambulances and support vehicles at shift start and end
• Ensure vehicles are stocked with required medical supplies
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and restocking
• Coordinate vehicle movement and replacements for operational readiness
• Maintain vehicle inspection logs and inventory records

Crew Oversight & Coaching

• Monitor crew performance and adherence to protocols
• Provide coaching based on telematics data (e.g., Samsara)
• Ensure prompt responses and timely vehicle deployment
• Observe and support crew interactions to maintain professionalism
• Assist crews in the field with patient care or logistics

Documentation & Compliance

• Monitor timely, accurate completion of ePCRs
• Submit interaction forms, checklists, and evaluations
• Ensure regulatory and policy compliance across all operations

Specialized Transport & Incident Response

• Coordinate bariatric transport logistics
• Respond to accidents or safety concerns during the shift
• Conduct initial incident assessments and escalate appropriately
• Serve as on-scene supervisor during critical events

Communication & Incident Management

• Maintain active communication with dispatch
• Act as first point of contact for staff or customer concerns
• Document and escalate incidents or complaints professionally
• Provide detailed end-of-shift performance and activity reports
