Job Description - Event Consultant

Event Consultant



Montana Party Rentals is currently seeking an Event Consultant to join our team.  As a leading organization in the local event industry for 30 years, Montana Party Rentals prides itself on offering customers high quality service and rentals for weddings, corporate, and private events.



From our showroom in Bozeman, our Event Consultants seamlessly execute rental reservations from the planning to production stage for events taking place throughout Montana and beyond. This role works one on one with clients to assist in selecting the appropriate rentals for each event.  Developing detailed event rental orders, Event Consultants work tirelessly to ensure client satisfaction.  In addition to assisting clients, they also prepare comprehensive notes and detailed instructions regarding each event and communicate them clearly and thoroughly with all necessary team members.  This fast-paced and rewarding position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who strives for flawless execution.




Position Tasks:  




  • Assist clients with their event rental needs and enhance the client’s event using MPR’s specialized inventory and expert advice.

  • Provide clients with formal quotes that include pricing and job details according to established procedures. 

  • Utilize event software to create rental reservations, timelines, and design boards. 

  • Communicate and coordinate all event rental details with internal staff to ensure a smooth event.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve to ensure clients have a smooth experience

  • Assist customers with retail purchases.

  • Maintain clean and orderly showroom and displays.

  • Attend department and staff meetings.

  • Maintain continuous open communication with staff and management.

  • Assist in other departments as requested/necessary for smooth business operation.

  • Network with fellow industry professionals.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.



 


Education, Skills + Requirements:




  • Event industry experience required.

  • Must maintain professional appearance and language set by company standards. 

  • Enjoy sales and long-term customer relations. 

  • Possess excellent computer skills. Rental software training will be provided. 

  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members.

  • Thrive in a team environment, while performing tasks independently. 

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment that requires great attention to detail and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs.
