Event Culinary Assistant Expectations:

• Assist with unloading the vehicle and organizing the kitchen or prep area at the venue.


• Set up buffet lines, action stations, plating areas, and build appetizer displays according to the event plan and venue guidelines.


• Plate salads and appetizers for passing with consistency and attention to presentation.


• Replenish food items on the buffet and ensure stations remain clean, stocked, and organized.


• Operate live action stations (e.g., carving stations, pasta stations, or dessert bars) and engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner.


• Work collaboratively with the catering team to serve meals and beverages efficiently.


• Assist in breaking down and cleaning the kitchen or prep area, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are sanitized.


• Dispose of waste and trash in accordance with venue policies or company guidelines.


• Be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Event Culinary Assistant Skills and Experience:

• 1+ years of foodservice experience


• Catering or banquet experience a plus


• General knowledge of food safety practices
