Observability Event Management EngineerAn engineering position in Client group that will play a key role in Architecting / Planning and developing Observability solutions. Focus is on the Event Management space processing events form upstream Observability tooling and processing them through AI/ML functions, Ticketing, notifications and other automations.
Responsibilities:Drive engineering and certification of event management and infrastructure monitoring platform products.Development of custom tooling extension and integrations of monitoring services with external systems, such as CMDB s, ticketing and notification systems and larger data lake technologies and deliver with automated SRE tooling functions.Work closely with engineering, and operations, and applications teams across Client to understand and collect monitoring and data analytics requirements.Support Service Now SaaS migration by developing and testing custom integrations between Netcool and Service Now SaaS, internal ansible playbook automation functions and internal notification systems (Heed).
Qualifications:Minimum 10 years Engineering of 3rd party software and services in the event management space.Required working knowledge with IBM Tivoli Netcool(NOI) and BigPandaWorking knowledge of Event Management Rules developments, Triggers & Automation development.Working knowledge on Netcool/Impact
Policy writing, data source creation, updates and config.Working knowledge on co-relation, de-duplication, grouping of events along with new features of NOI.Working knowledge of Fix Pack Updates of Netcool/OMNIbus, Impact and WebGUI. Creating & managing of WebGUI dashboards.Knowledge on Ansible playbook automation, yaml.Working knowledge on shell scripting, perl or pythonStrong skillset required in Linux (RHEL) and Windows; packaging; OS concepts and services; shell scripting; regular expressions; end-to-end testing; performance/scalability testing; implementing open source solutions; productcustomizations; Java; JSON.Experience with software delivery and documentation tools like Bit bucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, JIRA ConfluenceKnowledge on databases like Oracle, MongoDB will be plusKnowledge on Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline and any other observability/monitoring/event management tool will be a plusKnowledge of Event Analytics, Data Science, Machine learning and Artificial intelligence will be a plus
Education:Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
