Overview

Direct all components of Event Lot Operations by fostering an environment of safety, teamwork, leadership, and excellence. Event Lot Operations include performing responsibilities of a parking attendant, managing local labor staff instructing them where to go and what to do, and traffic direction maintaining coordination and flow of the event lot.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe movement of vehicles entering and leaving the venue site as well as the safe movement of people crossing active roadways and in the parking lots at the site.
  • Be visible and remain at your post during the event.
  • Arrive at assigned parking lot at least 15 minutes before the first scheduled group of local staff team members and prior to lot opening.
  • Checking in with Event Manager prior to departing at the end of each workday.
  • Train local staff team members on Event Parking Attendant duties and responsibilities.
  • Check-in local staff team members for attendance and tracking their work hours.
  • Report any absences or performance issues of the local staff team members directly to the Administrative Manager.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, including COVID-19 safety protocols. Train local staff team members on safety standards and ensure compliance.
  • Distribute safety vests, flags, light wands and clickers to local staff team members upon check-in.
  • Collect all equipment distributed to local staff at the end of each workday.
  • Ensure local staff team members are taken care of with breaks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
  • Be respectful of local staff, customers parking in the lots, and the management team.
  • Provide leadership and/or support, as needed, at any other lots or areas that require assistance.
  • Practice “hands-on” leadership, coaching through MBWA (Management by Walking Around), and lead by example.
  • Report any significant challenges, urgent situations, or important information that could affect the operations directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Check for appropriate pass/permits for reserve parking areas or lots.
  • Responsible for collection and organization of equipment: signs, parking cones/delineators, rope and stake, valet podium, valet software, uniforms.
  • Clean lots at the end of every shift to ensure the lot stays presentable throughout the event. This includes picking up cones, tents, delineators, etc. that could potentially be stolen or damaged after leaving lot at the end of the day.
  • Collect cash and/ or credit card payments for events that require payment collection.
  • Work with Event Operations Leadership to organize details and logistics of event parking execution.

Events

  • Event locations vary. (RBC Heritage - April; Club Corp Classic - April; AT&T Byron Nelson - May; PGA Championship - May; Senior PGA Championship - May; Women's PGA Championship - June; 3M Open - July).
  • Option to choose which event(s) you want to travel and work.
  • Flight, lodging and rental transportation provided.
  • Uniform provided.
  • Hourly pay rate (includes credit hours for students).

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexible schedule: Able to work all day, weekends and Holidays as required by each Event.
  • Previous parking, valet, payment collection, or event experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail; organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Is dependable, on time, and can adapt to a changing environment.

Physical Demands

  • Able to stand and walk approximately 95% of shift.
  • Able to sit, stand, stoop, move up/down, walk, jog and run as needed.
  • Ability to work outside in diverse weather conditions.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of times to complete administration duties, as needed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, as needed.
  • Event Valet: Able to operate a manual transmission; comfortable operating vehicles of varying sizes.
