Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring Event Security Officers to support a range of venues and large gatherings throughout Western Colorado. Assignments may include concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other high-attendance functions.
This role takes place in active, fast-moving environments where staying aware, working with a team, and handling situations as they develop are part of the job. Each event is different, so flexibility is important.

Coverage Area

Assignments may be scheduled across the Western Colorado region, including:

• Grand Junction
• Rifle
• Glenwood Springs
• Eagle
• Aspen
• Vail
• Montrose
• Ouray
• Telluride

Travel between locations is expected depending on event needs.

Schedule Details

• Most shifts take place during evenings and weekends
• Hours vary based on the type and size of each event
• Larger events may require advance scheduling commitments

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence throughout event venues
• Assist with entry points, including bag checks or ID verification when required
• Support enforcement of venue policies, including alcohol-related rules
• Help manage crowd flow and maintain safe movement of attendees
• Interact with guests, staff, and vendors in a professional manner
• Watch for safety concerns or unusual activity and respond as needed
• Follow all site instructions and company procedures during assignments

Minimum Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to travel within Western Colorado
• Strong communication skills and a customer service approach
• Ability to stay focused in busy, high-traffic settings
• Professional appearance and conduct while on duty
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Experience

• Experience in event security, crowd control, or similar roles
• Background in hospitality or large public events
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Work Environment

• Event-based assignments at both indoor and outdoor venues
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Exposure to large crowds and varying weather conditions
