About the Role:

We are hiring an Event Security Supervisor to join our growing team. The Event Security Supervisor provides direct field leadership for assigned events by supervising Event Leads and Security Officers, ensuring compliance with company standards, supporting client needs, and maintaining safe, professional event operations. This position serves as the on-site operational leader, coaching employees, addressing immediate issues, and ensuring successful execution of event plans established by the Events Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Operations

Supervise assigned event operations from setup through breakdown. 

• Direct Event Leads and Security Officers during assigned events. 

• Ensure all posts are staffed and personnel are properly equipped. 

• Address operational issues and make real-time decisions during events. 

• Fill staffing gaps as needed to maintain uninterrupted coverage. 

Personnel Leadership

Lead, coach, and mentor Event Leads and Security Officers. 

• Conduct field training and reinforce company expectations. 

• Complete regular one-on-one meetings with assigned personnel. 

• Hold employees accountable for attendance, appearance, customer service, and performance. 

• Recognize outstanding performance and provide timely corrective coaching. 

Client Support

Serve as the primary on-site representative for clients during assigned events. 

• Maintain positive working relationships with venue staff and event organizers. 

• Escalate significant client concerns to the Events Operations Manager. 

Quality Assurance

Conduct spot checks and field inspections. 

• Verify compliance with uniforms, post orders, safety standards, and reporting expectations. 

• Review reports for completeness and accuracy. 

• Document coaching opportunities and operational concerns. 

Equipment Accountability

Issue and collect radios, drumsticks, traffic control equipment, PPE, and other assigned equipment. 

• Inspect equipment before and after events. 

• Report damaged or missing equipment. 

Communication

Maintain regular communication with the Events Operations Manager. 

• Coordinate with dispatch and operations regarding staffing needs. 

• Respond to urgent operational issues during assigned shifts.

  • Communication & Customer Service: Communicates clearly and professionally with employees, clients, event staff, and management while providing exceptional customer service and representing Precision Security Team positively.
  • Decision Making & Conflict Resolution: Demonstrates sound judgment and confidence when resolving conflicts, responding to incidents, and making timely decisions in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Operational Execution: Coordinates and supervises event operations, ensuring staffing, post coverage, equipment readiness, and compliance with client expectations and company policies.
  • Security Knowledge & Risk Awareness: Applies knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, risk assessment, crowd management, and incident response to maintain safe and secure environments.
  • Coaching & Accountability: Conducts field training, spot checks, and one-on-one meetings to reinforce expectations, recognize strong performance, and address deficiencies through timely coaching.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produces and reviews accurate, objective, and timely reports while ensuring documentation meets company, client, and legal standards.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous people management experience required
  • 3-5 years of security related experience required; previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Project/program management experience in the safety/security field is highly desirable
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage resources and timelines while maintaining clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and various software programs related to security operations

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of security related experience required; preferably in event, hospitality, venue, or customer-facing security
  • One year of leadership experience as a supervisor, team lead, or equivalent role preferred
  • Experience coordinating personnel, responding to incidents, and leading teams in a fast-paced environment is preferred
  • Experience with scheduling, report writing, and security technology is preferred
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Successfully pass background check and MVR
  • Ability to obtain a security guard license
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on event schedules
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to use scheduling, reporting, and communication software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently up to 8–12 hours during events. 
  • Ability to patrol indoor and outdoor venues over varying terrain and climb stairs as needed. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. 
  • Ability to safely transport, issue, and retrieve company equipment, including radios, barricades, traffic control devices, and other event-related equipment. 
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and physically intervene, when necessary, within company policy and training. 
  • Must successfully complete company-required defensive tactics training. 
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, loud environments, and crowded venues. 
  • Ability to operate a computer, tablet, smartphone, and two-way radio for extended periods. 
  • Ability to safely use, maintain, and operate a company-issued firearm if assigned to an armed position.
