At the Palm Springs Surf Club, we’re looking for a vibrant, high-energy Event Coordinator who thrives on sunshine, splash zones, and creating epic moments for guests of all ages. If you’ve got a passion for planning and a love for fun, this is your chance to make waves in the desert!  As our Event Coordinator, you’ll be the mastermind behind our most exciting happenings—from themed pool parties and surf competitions to private events and seasonal festivals. You’ll work closely with internal teams, vendors, and performers to bring each event to life, ensuring every detail is dialed in and every guest leaves with a smile. This role requires creativity, top-notch organizational skills, and the ability to stay cool under pressure (even in 100° heat!).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events and activations across the park
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and guest services teams to ensure smooth event delivery
• Manage event logistics, timelines, vendor relations, and on-site execution
• Maintain event budgets and track expenses
• Ensure all events align with brand standards and safety protocols
• Gather feedback and analyze event success to continuously improve experiences
• Serve as the on-site liaison for clients and vendors during events, providing outstanding customer service and real-time problem solving
• Oversee setup to ensure all elements match the event plan, including layout, décor, signage, A/V, and rentals
• Communicate clearly with internal teams (F&B, operations, security, etc.) to coordinate timing and logistics
• Monitor event flow and address any changes, needs, or issues that arise during the event
• Manage teardown and ensure proper breakdown and cleanup procedures are followed
• Conduct pre-event walkthroughs and post-event wrap-ups to ensure guest satisfaction and identify improvements
• Maintain a professional, calm, and solutions-oriented demeanor at all time

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer service strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with a sharp attention to detail
• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as part of event setup/tear down
• Experience with venue management systems or event planning software
• Familiarity with food and beverage service protocols
• A passion for hospitality, creativity, and creating memorable guest experiences
• Able to speak Spanish a Plus
