Job Description - Events Manager
Position Summary
Develop, plan, and manage all aspects of events that meet the strategic goals of the Tisch School of the Arts Department of Film and Television. Conceptualize themes and research requests, assess feasibility, and make recommendations. Evaluate events and share data with F&TV Leadership. Develop, improve, and document event processes. Develop and consult with vendors to facilitate the creation of publication materials. Oversee day-to-day operations and staff. Attendance is required for events. Some International and Domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in film or related fields
Required Experience: 5+ years years experience planning and executing events (including budget administration) in an arts-related setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years coordinating domestic film festivals and screenings
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to solve complex problems and juggle numerous demands with multiple stakeholders in real time. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and negotiating skills. Confidentiality is a must. Detail-oriented. Knowledge of film and video technology and desktop publishing software. Experience managing budgets
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience using Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva software. Knowledge of contract management and accounts payable systems.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
