POSITION TITLE: Events Planner
LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
HYBRID SCHEDULE: Telecommute on Mondays and Fridays

As an Event Panner, you will be supporting the Events Team operations and execution by serving ministry partners with the planning, support, and execution of various events.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, service-oriented Event Planner to join our Events team. This role is responsible for planning and executing complex event logistics, including venue and hotel coordination, travel arrangements, and freight management through established vendor partnerships.
The ideal candidate specializes in meticulous pre-event planning, effectively managing contractor and vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless on-site execution. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at aligning event experiences with the organization’s mission, brand standards, and budgetary goals.
The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates challenges before they arise, and delivers exceptional service at every stage of the event lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and execution of assigned events.
Work with existing contractors/brokers to secure appropriate options for venue, talent, contracts, speakers, etc.
Pre-event work with all venues, hotels, travel, trucking and speaker/talent contracts as well as manage specified event budgets per event while consistently communicating with our NAMB client.
Work with and consult with other NAMB Teams on any event planning, venue booking, reserving equipment/resource materials, pre-event logistics.
Coordinate with ministry partner to help manage all related event budgets.
Essential Attributes and Skills
Ability to travel is . This may include site visits, and event execution. This position will be first in and last out at all events. Travel for events also includes supporting other ministry area events. Often, travel will be outside of traditional office hours, including weekends and holidays.
Flexibility is essential. Individual must be able to handle challenges, unexpected issues and people in a kind and decisive manner. When things don’t go as planned, individual must be able to be flexible and offer creative solutions on the spot.
Attention to detail is needed. Individual will be expected to manage multiple event projects simultaneously, and at varying levels of completion. This will include managing schedules, contracts, rooming lists, deliverables, promotion, volunteers, talent, catering, etc.

Stressful situations are normal. Individual must be able to respond appropriately, professionally, and in a Christ-honoring fashion. Individual must not freeze-up, freak-out, or otherwise become incapacitated in such situations.
People skills are . Individual must be friendly, well spoken, thoughtful in their language, direct, and convincing when communicating to ministry leaders, staff and event attendees. Individual must be confident and kind in how they communicate.
Servant attitude and actions are . Our team exists to serve the ministry partners and event attendees. This includes the willingness to serve in any capacity. No task, no matter how menial, should be beneath them.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and one to three years in event planning, execution, hospitality or similar experience is required.
