This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is with NC DNCR – Museum of History, located at 501 S. Water Street, Elizabeth City NC, Pasquotank County. 

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). 

The primary purpose of this temporary position is to perform a variety of Security related duties and assist the Events Coordinator with integrity.
 Schedule involves two (2) half days a week, alternating Saturdays, night and holiday work.
 May involve restocking bathrooms and minor cleaning of Facility. cleaning glass, mopping floors and debris removal.
 This position will incur environmental conditions due to patrolling of events both inside and outside.

• Pleasant and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
• Dependable and able to work a flexible part-time schedule that includes alternating Saturdays, nights and holidays
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50lbs, move tables and chairs in/out storage
• Ability to understand basic issues, identify problems and opportunities to determine the appropriate course of action

Minimum Education and Experience

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
