EVS Supervisor (Caesars Palace LV)

Assist in the day-to-day supervision to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while assuring compliance with policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Conducts inspections for cleanliness and uphold standards of daily staff of 40-70 employees effectively

• Directly supervise the associates responsible for the cleanliness standards in all public areas, restaurants, Colosseum, Qua and some back of house areas.
• Assist in getting shift out and in while making sure the team has proper equipment, supplies, etc.
• Assists with implementation of Caesars Entertainment initiatives and customer service programs for all EVS associates.
• Ensure daily projects are completed and that hotel standards are adhered to. 
• Respond to any concerns with our public area cleanliness such as with our restaurants, Qua, etc. in a timely manner and addresses it with the associates and inform the management team.
• Assists with implementation of Caesars Entertainment initiatives and customer service programs for all EVS associates.
• Monitor productivity standards are met on the day to day basis.

• Provide clear and consistent communication to the line associates.
• Work with out going supervisors and/or managers on any issues or concerns they may have from their shift such as discipline, special cleaning requests, scheduling, etc.
• Assist in re-adjusting schedule due to call in’s and filling any last minute call in’s with extra board associates
• Conduct periodic inspections of stations within public areas to ensure consistency and quality.
• Administer progressive discipline as needed.
• Ensure that HotSOS orders are placed for any engineering issues that need to be addressed such as lights out, toilets out of order, etc.
• All Mr. Clean phone calls are dispatched to supervisors on each shift for incidents such as bio’s, slips and falls, etc. Supervisors then dispatch to proper associate by radio for immediate action or go to area to retrieve associate as all do not have radios. 
• Review and participate in the conduction of the restroom inspections for the department throughout the casino, 153 restroom inspections is the daily minimum goal between all shifts.
• Using existing weekly schedules create the next day’s schedule for shift and make adjustments if necessary to station assignment.
• Conduct internal audit of pans/brooms and sand stamps for each shift.
• Attend required meetings such as departmental meetings, etc.
• Participate in open forum meetings for EVS associates on the quarterly basis.
• Address any concerns brought to attention from any EVS associates in a timely manner.
• Ensure SMAC plans are up to date for each shift which is with our line associates in association with the departments EOS score.
• Ensure CIPS are up to date which is in line with each supervisor’s SFS score.
• Assist in creating SOPs and Checklist for existing stations.
• Dayshift - Conducts DVM board weekly walk
• Late Night – Participates in monthly meetings with the departments’ shop stewards to review any outstanding issues that may need to be addressed. This includes a quarterly Article 31 meeting with all associates within the department.
• Conduct on the quarterly basis IDOC training for all associates on safety, Responsible Gaming and Blood Born Pathogens.
• Participate in Employee Appreciation parties which are usually on the quarterly basis, serving our associates and conducting clean up before end of shift. This also includes creating, designing and maintaining a game created for Housekeeping Week by our department. Late Night includes decorating for all shifts in the theme choice.
• Each month an associate of the month is nominated on 1 of 3 shifts for workmanship and is acknowledged at a Buzz session with a certificate, etc.
• Respond to slip and falls or associate injuries to retrieve immediate information pertinent to the incident and reports.
• Participate in management required classes through the year on various topics and locations. Some classes are only 1/2hr up to a week long in training such as Step – One training, etc
• Conduct and/ or participate in Step-One’s as needed with associates and shop stewards to address issues.
• Participate in shops of other strip hotels throughout the year and with sister properties to check on cleanliness standards and cleaning techniques and/or equipment used by staff in comparison to our departments’ standards and equipment.
• Participate in vendor demos of equipment, product or actual bids for contracting work such as marble or carpet cleaning for special needs. This helps build relationships with our vendors for future needs of the department.
• Participate with team and/or associates in attending classes held by our vendors such as Waxie, Brady, etc. about equipment use, care or new equipment coming and the benefits or other various beneficial information to the department that may be given. Sometimes these are held off property and at vendor’s locations.
• Participate in all training for the associates to ensure that the training is completed in a timely manner such as safety training in the IDOC system and that the associate will meet the departments’ expectations.
• Represent EVS in a professional and positive manner to all those in which contact is made.
