Excel Center - Life Coach

• Student Goal Setting & Coaching: Meets one-on-one with students to set SMART goals, create action plans, and use coaching strategies to build rapport and ensure goal achievement.
• Goal Modification & Support: Assesses student performance and life challenges, modifying academic and personal goals to help students reach their potential.
• Collaboration with Students & Staff: Partners with students and staff to identify actions that address academic barriers and improve student performance.
• Community Partnerships & Resources: Builds networks with community partners to connect students to wrap-around services and post-secondary opportunities.
• Data Tracking & Program Success: Tracks student data to set goals, monitor progress, and contribute to school-wide success in graduation, enrollment, and retention.

• Degree & Credentials: Bachelor’s in psychology, social work, human relations, education, or related fields.
• Communication Skills: Strong oral, written, visual, and listening abilities for effective interaction.
• Student Engagement: Strengths-based, student-centered approach with the ability to give constructive feedback.
• Meeting Facilitation: Skilled in managing productive meetings, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through.
• Collaborative Relationships: Builds and sustains partnerships for support, information, and assistance.
