MISSION


The mission of The PATH School is to provide a purpose-driven, culturally responsive learning environment that challenges scholars academically while supporting their social and emotional growth in order to develop conscientious citizens who transform their communities.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; appropriate licensure required, Master’s Degree preferred

  • Ability to build caring relationships with scholars and families

  • Strong work ethic and dedication to teaching

  • Engaging teaching style and effective classroom management

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Passion for social justice and equity

  • Alignment with The PATH School's vision, mission, and goals

  • Experience working with diverse scholars and staff


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Lift up to 40 lbs

  • Work in a noisy environment

  • Availability for some nights as needed


Essential Functions



  • Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and school team members

  • Develop and teach curriculum aligned with school initiatives and best practices

  • Provide specialized instruction to scholars with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Assess scholar progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed

  • Develop and implement annual IEP plans

  • Collaborate with team members to develop instructional goals and strategies

  • Coordinate delivery of special education services

  • Use data to inform instruction and improve scholar outcomes

  • Integrate technology into instruction

  • Foster social and emotional growth of scholars

  • Prepare lesson plans and assessments

  • Manage scholar behavior and maintain discipline

  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with scholars, colleagues, and parents


Additional Responsibilities



  • Stay current with educational trends and research

  • Participate in professional development activities

  • Contribute to a positive school culture and community
