Job Description - Executive Assistant

Greater Valley Health Center has been serving the Flathead Valley since 2007. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, GVHC provides the highest quality of care and a comprehensive list of services to meet all our community healthcare needs. Our health center provides a fee scale that ensures that no services are denied based on the inability to pay and is dedicated to providing patient centered, integrated primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare for all ages.  




Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Work experience, qualifications, specialist training, key skills, disposition



Qualifications:



  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training totalling six (6) years that are relevant to performing the duties of the position.

  • Quality Improvement, Performance Management, Health Care Administration, or related experience preferred.



Experience:



  • Any combination of training and experience which indicates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed.



Knowledge & Skills:



  • Knowledge and understanding of administrative support functions, English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Email and Social Media, PowerPoint, Publisher;

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality rules and regulation standards, Safety policies and procedures;

  • Skilled in customer service, written and verbal communication, time management and organization;

  • Ability to compile and produce accurate meeting minutes;

  • Ability to file, create tracking databases, enter data, use of office machines such as label makers, printers, copy and fax machines;

  • Ability to proficiently operate a computer to complete required job duties;

  • Ability to perform complex clerical work;

  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks under fixed time lines;

  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and co-workers;

  • Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner with others both orally and in writing;

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision;Ability to interact with the public or other employees in a professional, respectful and courteous manner; 

  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with frequent change, delays and/or unexpected events;

  • Ability to accept responsibility, follow through and be self-motivated.
