Executive Chef – High-Volume Culinary Operations

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Position Type: Full-Time

Recruiting Partner: Culinaire Staffing

Position Overview

On behalf of our esteemed, confidential client—a high-volume, premier dining and lifestyle destination on the grounds of one of Scottsdale’s most renowned golf properties—we seek a hands-on, visionary Executive Chef to lead back-of-house operations.

We are seeking an exceptional culinary leader who balances rigorous operational discipline and P&L mastery with a genuine commitment to team mentorship. If you thrive in a high-energy environment, demand uncompromising scratch-kitchen execution, and value an organization that champions a healthy, sustainable work-life balance, we want to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Excellence & Program Leadership
  • Direct daily culinary operations across a high-volume, indoor-outdoor dining venue known for scratch-made quality, vibrant menus, and exceptional guest experiences.

  • Drive flawless execution across all a la carte service, private events, and seasonal functions.

  • Partner with general management to engineer menus, establish purchasing specifications, and keep the program fresh and competitive.

Financial & Operational Mastery
  • Exercise rigorous, proactive control over the kitchen P&L, managing food cost percentages, labor efficiencies, waste reduction, and operating expenses.

  • Oversee inventory controls, vendor relations, and physical stock reconciliation.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health codes, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

Team Mentorship & Culture
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing professional culinary team.

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful kitchen culture that prioritizes professional growth, clear communication, and low turnover.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record of success as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale casual or fine-dining restaurant concept.

  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, labor/food cost controls, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Leadership Style: A collaborative, coaching-oriented leader who leads by example and values people.

  • Certifications: ServSafe Manager certification (or equivalent) required. A culinary degree from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Base Salary: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience (sweet spot around $110,000+, with scale for top-tier talent).

  • Performance Bonus: Lucrative annual performance bonus structure tied to operational and financial targets.

  • Unmatched Quality of Life: A supportive ownership and management culture designed to respect your time away from the kitchen and support a healthy work-life balance.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and generous Paid Time Off (PTO).

  • Exclusive Perks: Exceptional club perks and career advancement within a thriving hospitality ecosystem.

Culinaire Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All inquiries and applications will be held in strict confidence.
