Executive Claims Examiner, Professional Liability

• Handle a diverse and complex caseload consisting of litigated and pre-litigation claims and potential claims from first notice through resolution
• Conduct thorough coverage, liability and damages investigations  
• Conduct complex coverage analysis under claims-made and reported policies
• Draft comprehensive and analytically rigorous coverage letters
• Proactively manage defense counsel, experts, and other vendors efficiently and strategically
• Drive effective resolution strategy, including mediation, settlement negotiation, and trial oversight
• Partner with underwriting on risk trends
• Prepare clear internal reporting for leadership and reinsurers as necessary
• Support claims leadership by providing guidance, mentorship and technical training to developing examiners

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree; JD preferred but not required
• 7+ years of professional liability, management liability, and/or allied healthcare liability claims experience on claims-made or claims-made and reported forms
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures, policy interpretation, and litigation management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle high-severity, complex claims independently
• Active Texas All-Lines Adjuster License preferred; NY license a plus
• Experience working in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market is ideal
