Executive Clinical Director

Job Description - Executive Clinical Director

Job description:

Company Overview

Puzzle Box Academy is part of an integrated network of schools and clinical programs (including Legacy High School, Kaleidoscope Interventions, and Bridge to Tomorrow) serving neurodivergent learners through evidence-based clinical practice, compassionate teaching, and individualized support.

We're looking for an experienced clinical leader to provide organization-wide clinical leadership across all programs and locations. This is a true executive leadership role; not a caseload-plus-administration hybrid.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer contracts, credentialing standards, and applicable regulations

  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop ~8 BCBAs, who in turn supervise ~35 RBTs

  • Build scalable clinical systems and a culture of accountability and ethical practice

  • Serve as the senior clinical voice for families and partner with HR on clinical hiring and retention

  • Collaborate with the CEO/COO on payer strategy, program development, and organizational growth

  • Report directly to the COO

Qualifications

Candidates must qualify through one of these pathways:

BCBA Pathway (BCBA-D welcomed)

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing

  • Master's or doctoral degree in ABA, psychology, education, or related field

  • 5+ years post-certification experience leading multiple BCBAs/RBT teams

Clinical Psychologist Pathway

  • Doctoral-level psychologist with active/unrestricted FL license (or ability to obtain before start)

  • Documented leadership experience in autism, developmental disabilities, or related pediatric behavioral health

Psychiatrist Pathway

  • MD/DO with active/unrestricted FL license (or ability to obtain before start)

  • Board certified/eligible in psychiatry (ABMS/AOA); child & adolescent psychiatry training strongly preferred

  • Substantial clinical-leadership experience in autism/developmental disabilities/pediatric behavioral health

All candidates:

  • 5+ years of clinical experience with substantial supervisory/leadership responsibility

  • Proven track record managing multiple BCBAs or senior clinicians and leading teams that include RBTs

  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, insurance authorization, payer compliance, and QA

  • Excellent communication skills with clinicians, families, and executives

Preferred: Prior experience as a Clinical/Medical/Regional Director; multi-site or school-based experience; EHR and outcomes-reporting experience.

To Apply: Email your resume and a brief letter describing your clinical leadership experience and connection to our mission to [email protected].

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance

  • Employee discount

  • Health insurance

  • Life insurance

  • Paid time off

  • Professional development assistance

  • Referral program

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Vision insurance
