About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Employee Standards and Compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of employee standards and compliance, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and laws. This includes overseeing employee ethics, standards of conduct, performance management, contract management, and the investigative functions of the organization. The role also involves providing leadership and oversight to maintain a safe and non-discriminatory working and learning environment, as well as developing and implementing training and communication programs on ethics, legal, regulatory, and performance-related topics. The Executive Director will be the key point of contact for compliance issues, prepare related analyses and reports, and work proactively to address and resolve employee issues in collaboration with district leadership.Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in public business administration, human resource management, education administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources management and/or as a supervisor or campus/district administrator is required. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws, experience in conducting or overseeing employment investigations, and a strong background in HR policies, procedures, and practices.
Professional certification in Human Resources, such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP, is also preferred. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a budget and personnel, and the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion. The Executive Director will be expected to travel as necessary, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
