About the Role The Executive Director of Humanities, Health & Physical Education at The Company will be responsible for setting the vision, strategic priorities, and objectives for the department, ensuring coherence and convergence across content areas, and aligning with the district's vision. This role involves leading a team to develop and oversee a centralized vision for the district, including strategic planning, progress monitoring, budgeting, reporting, and communications. The successful candidate will also be accountable for establishing and meeting deadlines, providing leadership, professional development, coaching, and evaluating staff performance. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with various offices and departments to address high-priority internal and external affairs, ensuring alignment with district-wide initiatives, and analyzing data to drive improvement and student success.To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's or other advanced degree preferred. A valid teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements is also preferred. The Executive Director must have a minimum of eight years of professional leadership experience in education, including at least five years in a supervisory role and three years of classroom teaching experience. Expertise in planning, designing, and evaluating professional learning, as well as a deep understanding of the instructional core vision, is essential. The role demands strong leadership and team-building skills, strategic planning capabilities, integrity, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Strong knowledge of operations budget/finance, management, organizational development, and excellent technology skills are also required.
