About The Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Cancer Services to take on a pivotal role in the development and leadership of its oncology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administrative leadership, operating results, and financial performance of the cancer services, including the management of resources and meeting the company’s expectations for performance and optimization. This role involves overseeing central infrastructure, driving the implementation of the cancer strategy, and serving as a critical leader for the company’s relationship with a prominent cancer institute. The Executive Director will also be accountable for service development and management, capacity and optimization, capital and financial management, and human resources within the cancer services. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a leadership role within an academic medical center, with a strong preference for those with a Master’s degree. Experience in managing and leading cancer services is essential, as is a demonstrated track record of successful team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a background in the healthcare industry and experience working in a highly matrixed organizational environment. Responsibilities will include setting the direction and goals for cancer services, establishing and achieving long-range goals, and ensuring the implementation of strategic business plans. The role also requires a focus on continuous assessment and improvement of systems and processes, as well as a commitment to the company’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
