About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Facilities Operations to lead and provide technical expertise to a diverse facilities operations team. This team is responsible for the maintenance and management of a campus with multiple buildings, including residence halls, and extensive grounds. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of facilities operations, including facility management, general maintenance, energy management, and environmental health and safety. The role involves managing a significant deferred maintenance backlog and requires a leader who can effectively utilize new funding to address both operational and capital needs. Applicants for the Executive Director of Facilities Operations position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management, or business, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior management role within facilities management, preferably in a higher education setting. The role also demands experience in supervising a unionized environment and extensive management of facilities operating budgets. A Certified Educational Facilities Professional is a preferred qualification, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication skills.
