Job Description - Executive Director of Financial Aid & Enrollm - Energetic Workplace

The Executive Director of Financial Aid & Enrollment Services will function as a member of our collaborative team and is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures relevant to financial aid and enrollment services. This position will ensure financial aid optimization, alignment of enrollment management initiatives with funding practices, and compliance with all federal and state regulations related to student aid funding and student record retention.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of and coordination among the offices of Admissions and Financial Aid between with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ensure that underlying plans for admissions and financial aid are aligned and integrated as necessary with college departments and offices.
  • Oversee the establishment, implementation, and monitoring of standards in the administrative departments including admissions, financial aid, and student facing services
  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of growth initiatives and redirect, as appropriate.
  • Routinely monitor and review quality assurance, compliance, student service, and compliance metrics.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive environment that promotes access and openness among departments and responsiveness to internal and external constituents.

Enrollment Services

  • Assure effective and efficient delivery of enrollment services in line with institutional goals, college policies, and professional standards.
  • Provide leadership of the enrollment team in achieving outcomes including outstanding student service, enrollment growth, manpower efficiency, conversion metrics, and student persistence.
  • Measure, monitor, report, and remediate staff and the admission process to ensure prospecting activity and inquiry management outcomes are in alignment with college expectations.

Financial Aid

  • Collaborate with the office of Financial Aid to ensure that institutional financial aid resources meet the needs of both new and continuing students.
  • Manage operations, allocate and monitor operating budgets and provide direction to staff members for the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Address all concerns and issues from students, parents, and administrators pertaining to the core functions of financial aid and scholarships in a diplomatic and thoughtful manner.
  • Develop and recommend policies for financial aid and scholarships that support the mission and goals of the College which ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide oversight and management over all audit functions, both internal and external, related to financial aid and scholarships. Ensure that appropriate action plans are developed and implemented to address any audit findings and recommendations, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL), and College laws, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in higher education administrative areas of admissions, registrar, and/or financial aid with demonstrated accomplishment in leadership roles is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in participating on and/or leading institution-wide committees in the areas of admissions, and/or financial aid initiatives and objective and goal attainment.
  • Thorough knowledge of current federal and regional requirements governing financial aid, admissions/enrollment, and records documentation.
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with student records software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the management of institutional budgets
