The Executive Director of Home Health Care is a dynamic leadership role responsible for the oversight and growth of Country Manor’s Home Health Care department. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care through strategic planning, team development, and operational excellence. The Executive Director leads with exceptional communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with state regulations and industry best practices. With a focus on innovation, staff leadership, and quality outcomes, this role plays a critical part in enhancing the overall experience for residents, families, and staff.
JOB SUMMARY
This position manages all employees within the Home Health Care department and is responsible for performance management and hiring decisions.
- Provide administrative leadership for Home Health Care staff to promote the delivery of quality care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Home Health Care practices and standards, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Develop, analyze, monitor, and implement the Home Health Care budget to promote appropriate resource utilization; establish service rates and authorize expenditures
- Direct the hiring process for all Home Health Care staff, including interviewing, selection, and scheduling
- Manage all department employees, directly or indirectly; responsible for performance management, including training, coaching, evaluation, and termination
- Collaborate with the Education Department to ensure appropriate staff development programs and regulatory compliance
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement; develop and evaluate quality assurance initiatives focused on client, family, and staff satisfaction, safety, and strategic goals
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; stay informed of regulatory updates
- Direct, monitor, and implement Home Health Care processes and agency operations; ensure adherence to all federal/state regulations and laws
- Maintain positive working relationships with other departments, complete requisitions in accordance with policy
- Confidently lead the Home Health Care team through regular performance reviews, process audits, and by providing training and tools for optimal execution
- Take ultimate responsibility for the overall success of the Home Health Care Department, including cross-department collaboration, client satisfaction, budget management, and regulatory compliance
- Provide direct patient care as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred
- CPR certification
- Strong ability to work independently, using sound judgment for problem-solving and decision-making
- Proven adaptability and flexibility to organize and prioritize department needs; excellent time management skills
- Skilled collaborator; able to effectively represent the Home Health Care Department in cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to take new ideas and translate them into actionable, measurable implementation plans; able to oversee, maintain, and adjust strategies as needed
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including:
- Strategic planning

- Leadership techniques
- Budget creation and oversight
- Coordination of resources and staff development
- Experience in business innovation and growth, with a proven ability to manage change and adapt to evolving staffing, client, and industry trends
- Ability to identify departmental gaps and restructure operations to improve efficiency and meet changing client needs
- Familiarity with laws and regulations related to Medicare/Medicaid and state licensure requirements
- Strong critical thinking skills; able to assess cost-benefit outcomes and make informed decisions
- Experience with billing and receivables
