About the Role The Executive Director of Human Resources at The Company is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive human resources program that aligns with the institution's strategic goals and supports a diverse workforce. This position oversees all aspects of human resources operations, including recruitment, training, labor relations, collective bargaining, payroll, benefits, and employee development. The Executive Director also plays a crucial role in policy development and compliance, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, and serves as a principal consultant for position analysis and classification. As a member of the Executive Cabinet, the role involves advising senior leadership on workforce management issues and fostering a collaborative campus climate.Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and at least five years of experience managing a human resources function, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in a public sector union environment and conducting contract negotiations is essential. Desirable qualifications include a Master's Degree, SHRM or HRCI certification, and experience in community or technical colleges in Washington State. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in collaborative work, leadership, management information systems, and working with diverse populations. The role requires a deep understanding of personnel practices, Title IX, and Affirmative Action, as well as the ability to effectively manage various HR functions.
