Executive Director of Sales - Marcus Hotels & Resorts','220004ZV','!*!As Executive Director of Sales for Marcus Hotels & Resorts Milwaukee Market you will lead the Sales team through management, coordination, and execution of sales operations of for Hilton Milwaukee City Center, The Pfister Hotel and Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel. We are seeking an engaged business partner who will ensure the highest level of customer services at all times and drive the strategy behind bringing vibrant activity into all rooms and event spaces to each of our Milwaukee properties.

Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic planning, goal setting, planning and development of market segments, contract and booking approval, sales booking assignment, and overseeing sales efforts for all Milwaukee Market Sales Managers.
Account prospecting, solicitation, and development via telephone, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication.
Conduct hotel site inspections, entertain both in house and off property, and maintain thorough follow up methods.
Representing the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, The Pifster Hotel and Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel at trade shows, civic/business functions, industry-related associations, and other events to promote the hotel and/or the city.
Attend meetings including, but not limited to, pre-convention, business review, profit and loss, executive operating committee, marketing, departmental and any other meetings deemed necessary to your position.
Serve as liaison between hotel, advertising and public relations agencies, and Visit Milwaukee Convention & Visitors Bureau Initiatives.
Community involvement is a pillar in leadership at Marcus hotels. Presence and involvement, much of which is after business hours is an expectation of this position
Acts as liaison between Sales Manager(s) and Event Manager(s).
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a sales leader preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required, Four-year college degree preferred, however, any combination of education and training within hotel sales and/or event planning may also be considered.
Flexibility to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel and oversight of events.
Promptly respond to requests for information on hotel facilities and menus.
Conduct tours of the hotel to include ballrooms, meeting space, guest rooms, food and beverage outlets and public space and meet with clients as needed.
Thorough knowledge of Delphi Systems, Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Strong knowledge of market segments.
Ability to travel. Reliable transportation required for outside sales calls.
Flexibility to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Ability to meet departmental/hotel financial and sales objectives.
